If you don't like watching the races but are more of a racer yourself, then the Daytona 500 Experience is the place for you!  Here you can live the race and know first hand what its like to be behind the wheel and win the gold cup!  This has been voted the number two attraction in Daytona by locals and by the visitors of this great city.  This is the official attraction of NASCAR.  This is a great theme park to go to if you haven't already planned on it.  It also has a museum in it, an educational learning center, movie theatre, and specialty museum!  You can take a 30 minute track tour which offers great insight on the sport of NASCAR. 

The number one attraction in Daytona Florida just so happens to be the Ponce de Leon inlet lighthouse and museum.  Coming from Spain, Ponce de Leon was one of the founders of our great state today.  He cultivated the land and built great cities that were built so good that some still stand today!  This museum is one of the top most greatest attraction in Daytona.  Here you can see for yourself what Ponce and his Spaniard buddies did for us and how they helped to get us started!  This is also the second largest lighthouse in the nation and the first in the state!  Its set out over a beautiful bay with clear waters.  during mating season you can eve see sharks from the lighthouse, though they only stay in the bay and do not go into larger swimming areas.
