Tampa -  Recognized as one of the nation’s fastest growing cities, Tampa is a bustling port town that boasts multi-ethnic diversity and a revitalized downtown waterfront. Ybor City, which was once known as the “cigar capital of the world,” and is now a city-within-a-city offering Latin shops, ethnic restaurants, art galleries, and nightclubs. Local attractions include the 300-acre Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, which is ranked among the top four zoos in the country; the Florida Aquarium; the Henry B. Plant Museum, which is the site of the old Tampa Bay Hotel and a national historic landmark; and the Tampa Museum of Art, which features the Southeast’s largest collection of Greek and Roman art.

Tampa Museum of Art

Tampa Museum of Art TAMPA  This striking, riverside museum boasts an amazing collection of classical Greek and Roman artwork - one of the country's best. It also prides itself on 20th-century American acquisitions including photographs, works on paper and sculpture. Aside from these permanent collections, the museum displays rotating and traveling exhibits throughout the year. There's even a gallery that highlights Florida's most well-received artists. Regular public workshops make art accessible to children and adults, and a gift shop offers distinctive merchandise. Outside, a park and sculpture garden take advantage of the waterside location.
The Museum collection includes twentieth-century and contemporary art and a renowned collection of Greek and Roman antiquities. A changing special exhibitions program provides a lively mix of classical and contemporary shows. Complementing these exhibitions are a wide range of classes, lectures, seminars, and children's activities. Accredited by the American Association of Museums, the Tampa Museum of Art was established in 1979 and is member supported and funded in part by the City of Tampa, the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Cultural Affairs, and the Florida Arts Council. Additional programs are offered with the support of the Arts Council of Hillsborough County and the Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners.
