Florida Aquarium
Florida Aquarium
TAMPA
The Florida Aquarium tells Florida’s unique water
story as it follows a "drop" of water from its underground source to the
open sea. Discover over 10,000 aquatic plants and animals both native to
Florida and from all over the globe.
Wetlands
Begin your adventure with our "drop" by entering an underwater cave on the
Aquarium's second level. Here, water bubbles up from its underground
source into crystal-clear springs.
Bays & Beaches
After traveling through the mangrove forest, our "drop" moves toward an
increasing saltwater environment. Brackish water (a mix of fresh and salt)
flows along a bay bottom to meet bonnethead sharks, snook, mullet and sea
robins.
Coral Reefs
Our "drop" of water now moves on to one of the most beautiful and diverse
ecosystems in the world -- a coral reef.
Sea Hunt
In the bigger picture, Florida's water is part of the world's H20 System.
See the hunters from all over the world in Sea Hunt.
